Tester, Daines and Zinke Congratulate Lewistown’s Nathaniel Loos on Acceptance to West Point

(Montana) – Senators Jon Tester and Steve Daines and Representative Ryan Zinke, announced today that Nathaniel Loos, a high school senior whose family is from Lewistown, has been accepted to the prestigious U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York.

Loos, 18, comes from a military family and currently serves as a Cadet Staff Sergeant in Marine Corps Junior ROTC. He is also an Eagle Scout, National Honors Society member, Science Olympiad participant, and a three-season track athlete.

“Nathaniel’s lifelong commitment to serving his community has no doubt prepared him for a career serving our country,” Tester said. “When I look at all he’s done in just 18 years, the talent, intelligence, and leadership he’s exhibited, I know he’s the kind of guy I want protecting our nation.”

“Nathaniel has proved himself to be a leader in his community and his school and I’m extremely proud to congratulate him on his appointment to West Point Academy,” Daines stated. “I look forward to seeing what Nathaniel does next as a future leader of our nation.”

“Nathaniel is a bright young man whose leadership and determination will be an asset to our nation.” Zinke said. “Bravo zulu, Nathaniel! I know you’ll continue to make Montana proud.”

Tester, Daines, and Zinke all reached out to Loos to congratulate him on his appointment.

The Montana delegation nominated Loos in December.
