Baucus, Tester: Nearly $1.5 million for Billings airport

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Billings Logan International Airport will receive nearly $1.5 million to help improve its taxiways, U.S. Senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester today announced today.

“Bringing good jobs to Montana are my first, second and third priorities,” said Baucus.  “This grant is the right kind of investment to make in the Big Sky State and the Billings region.”

“This funding will put people to work now and will generate economic opportunity for Billings and surrounding communities for years to come,” Tester said.  “Infrastructure investment like this is the right way to rebuild our economy from the ground up.”

The $1,479,492 grant will help the airport build and straighten two taxiways.  The improved taxiways will also make air traffic safer at the Billings airport by eliminating confusing intersections.
