Tester announces new buses coming to Great Falls

Montana transit agencies will receive $1.4 million

(BIG SANDY, MT) – Bus riders in the Electric City will soon enjoy clean, new buses, thanks to money announced today by Senator Jon Tester.

The Great Falls Transit Agency will use the $656,600 grant to purchase two new buses and replace the broken bus washer.

The Montana Department of Transportation will receive a $776,000 grant to build a bus barn for the Great Falls Agency on Aging bus and purchase two new buses.
 
“Safe, reliable buses are essential for public transportation,” Tester said. “This money will go a long way to modernize the Great Falls transit system and boost opportunity for all folks in the Electric City.”

The grants are through the U.S. Department of Transportation.
