Senator Tester Addresses NSA Issues

GREAT FALLS -This morning in Washington, Senator Jon Tester is demanding answers when it comes to data collecting by the government and reported spying by the NSA using the government surveillance law.

Senator Tester today addressed Director of National Intelligence James Clapper about reports of misuse of the law by the government, and wants clapper to answer questions on the use of electronic records.

Tester said in his letter to clapper that “if personal data is being obtained without a warrant and stored for an unknown and possibly indefinite period of time, it is an unconstitutional violation of privacy.”
