MISSOULA- Missoula's Home ReSource hosted a special visitor on Saturday when Senator Jon Tester stopped by for a tour of the facility and a look at their sustainable building materials.

Tester said this was his first time seeing a non-profit like Home ReSource and he was very impressed.

"It does a lot of good things, not the least of which is create jobs, and gives affordable building materials for folks who could use affordable building materials. And then the positive impact of not putting this stuff in a land fill is also good, so it's really a win, win, win, deal," said Senator Tester.

Home ReSource opened in 2003 and sells used building materials from their store on Wyoming Street while also offering up a variety of construction classes and deconstruct buildings around town.

The non-profit has diverted more than 10 million pounds of waste from landfills by taking donations of building materials and deconstructing buildings.
