Tester Congratulates Livingston’s Colter Sienkiewicz on Acceptance to U.S. Air Force Academy

Senator nominated Sienkiewicz and 23 other Montanans for Army, Navy, Air Force, and Merchant Marine Academies

U.S. Senator Jon Tester recently congratulated Livingston’s Colter Sienkiewicz on his appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Sienkiewicz currently attends St. Paul’s School in New Hampshire. He was a research assistant at the University of Delaware last year and attended both the United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar and United States Military Academy Summer Leaders Program in June of 2023. He participates in soccer, wrestling, crew, cross country and hockey.

“As Montana’s senior Senator, it’s a great honor to help some of Montana’s best and brightest students continue our state’s strong legacy of serving in our armed forces by attending one of our nation’s military service academies,” said Tester. “Colter is a top-notch student leader with a passion to serve our country, and I look forward to continue seeing him make our state proud at the Air Force Academy.”

Tester nominated Sienkiewicz—along with 23 other Montanans—in December based on their academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and dedication to serving and leading in the United States military. A nomination from a member of Congress is a student’s first step in applying to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
