Tester: Montana Air Guard serves as ‘shining example of excellence’

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement congratulating Adjutant General John Walsh, Brigadier General Brad Livingston and the servicemembers with the Montana Air National Guard for earning the U.S. Air Force’s Organizational Excellence Award:

“I join the Air Force and all Montanans in thanking General Walsh, General Livingston and the Montana Air National Guard for the outstanding work they do every day to defend our freedom.  These Airmen stand out as a shining example of excellence to all of our servicemen and women.”

The Organizational Excellence Award recognizes units within the Air Force for exceptional performance of duty.  The Montana Air National Guard is being honored for their service from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2011.

Within the Montana Air National Guard, the 120th Fighter Wing and the 219th RED HORSE Squadron also received Outstanding Unit Awards. This is the first time that all three organizations received commendation at the same time.
