Tester Statement on New State Worker Initiative Funded Through American Rescue Plan
U.S. Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after the state of Montana announced a new initiative to get Montanans back to work using funds secured by Tester in the recently passed American Rescue Plan:
“I support these efforts to get our economy up and running. I am proud to have secured these funds through the American Rescue Plan that are being used today to support Montanans who are ready to return to work. I will keep fighting to defend Montana small businesses and workers as our economy rebounds from the pandemic.”
Tester fought to include the funding for this initiative in the recently passed American Rescue Plan as a part of the more than $900 million he secured for the state of Montana to respond to the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
Tester was the only member of the Montana delegation to vote for the American Rescue Plan.
