Tester, Daines Congratulate Seeley’s Samuel Weisenburger on Acceptance to West Point

Montana Senators nominated class of 2024 students for Army, Navy, Air Force, and Merchant Marine Academies

U.S. Senators Jon Tester and Steve Daines today congratulated Seeley high school student Samuel Weisenburger on his appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Samuel is a Shooting National Junior Olympian. In addition to being a member of the Clearwater Resource Council and the National Honor Society, he is a Leo Club leader and holds a Private Pilot License. He is active in Civil Air Patrol and attends Seeley-Swan High School.

“Samuel is an exceptional young man, who has proven himself to be among Montana’s best and brightest,” said Tester. “I congratulate him on his acceptance to West Point, and wish him the best of luck on the road ahead. I have no doubt that he will serve our state and country proudly.”

“Samuel has a strong record of leadership and is an exceptional young Montanan,” said Daines. “Congratulations to Samuel for being accepted into West Point. I am grateful for Samuel’s eagerness to serve his country and I know he will continue to make Montana proud as an officer in the United States Army.”

Tester and Daines nominated Samuel in December based on his academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and commitment to serving and leading in the United States military.
