Tester, Daines & Gianforte Congratulate Kalispell’s Jones on Air Force Academy Acceptance

(Washington D.C.) – U.S. Senators Jon Tester and Steve Daines and Representative Greg Gianforte congratulated Kalispell’s Lincoln Jones on his appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy today.

Jones, 18, is a senior at Glacier High School where he is the Captain of the Glacier Avalanche Hockey Team, a varsity lacrosse player, and a National Honor Society member. Jones also comes from a long line of service members and will be continuing his family’s legacy as a cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

“Lincoln has proven himself an outstanding athlete and teammate, I can’t think of a better candidate for the U.S. Air Force Academy,” said Tester. “He is continuing a long tradition of military service in his family and I’m sure he’s made them very proud.”

“Being captain of multiple sports teams and a member of the Glacier High School choir, Lincoln has proven to be a strong young leader in Montana,” said Daines. “I congratulate him on this major achievement, and wish him all the best in his next chapter.”

“An outstanding student and captain of his hockey team, Lincoln will make Montana proud at the Air Force Academy,” said Gianforte. “Lincoln’s faith and commitment to serve others guide him, and I look forward to watching him grow as a leader. I congratulate Lincoln and wish him great success.”

Tester, Daines, and Gianforte nominated Jones in December.
