Tester Congratulates Missoula's Westenfelder on Acceptance to U.S. Air Force Academy

(U.S. Senate) – U.S. Senator Jon Tester congratulated Missoula’s Finnian Westenfelder today on his appointment to the prestigious U.S. Air Force Academy.

Westenfelder, 17, is a senior at Hellgate High School, an Academic All-State varsity swimmer, and currently serves as Hellgate High’s student body secretary. Westenfelder is also an Eagle Scout and hopes to pursue a career in aviation.

“Finnian has shown he’s among the very best and brightest, and it’s a privilege as his Senator to support his dedication to serving our country,” Tester said. “I know he’ll make Montana proud at the U.S. Air Force Academy.”

The Montana delegation nominated Westenfelder in December.
