Tester Secures $300,000 For Billings Airport

Senator Delivers Grant to Fix Tarmac, Better #ConnectMT

(U.S. Senate) – As part of his ongoing effort to #ConnectMT, U.S. Senator Jon Tester has secured $300,000 to reconstruct the aging tarmac at Logan International Airport in Billings.

Tester was the only member of Montana’s congressional delegation to vote for the bipartisan agreement that delivered the money though the Federal Aviation Administration’s grant program.

“Air travel is critical to keeping Montanans connected,” Tester, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, said. “This grant will help boost the economy and make sure folks can fly in and out of Billings safely.”

Tester’s #ConnectMT initiative has been a major boon for Montana’s airports. The Senator has brought home over $20 million in grants to renovate and expand runways, install safety equipment, and improve air travel across the state during the last month alone, including an additional $2.1 million to expand the terminal building at Logan International.
