Tester Secures $18 Million to Upgrade Infrastructure at 17 Montana Airports

Funding Will Improve Safety, Rehab Runways, and Better #ConnectMT

(U.S. Senate)—As part of his #ConnectMT initiative, U.S. Senator Jon Tester secured $18 million to upgrade infrastructure at 17 Montana airports.

Tester secured the grants through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to improve airport safety, rehab runways, construct terminals, and purchase snow removal equipment.

“These funds will help our airports invest in critical needs that will keep travelers safe and connected,” Tester said. “Investments like this will help local business thrive and provide a boost to the community.”

Tester secured the FAA grants for the following Montana airports:

Cut Bank International Airport
Cut Bank, MT
$1,163,449 to rehab the airport’s apron.

Missoula International Airport
Missoula, MT
$1,124,896 to construct a terminal building and rehab runway.

Circle Town County Airport
Circle, MT
$257,670 to conduct study and rehab aprons and runway.

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport
Bozeman, MT
$3,449,219 to Expand airport’s apron and extend taxiways.

Mission Field Airport
Livingston, MT
$123,990 to Update airport’s master plan study.

Glacier Park International Airport
Kalispell, MT
$2,073,999 to Update airport’s master plan study and rehab apron and runway.
