Tester Sends Another Nominee to Senate Floor
Senator Votes in Support of Trump’s Nominee to Tackle Veterans’ Unemployment
(U.S. Senate) – Ranking Member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee Jon Tester voted to move forward John Lowry, nominee to be Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans’ Employment and Training.
“Rural and Native American veterans face unique challenges in job training and career development opportunities,” said Tester. “We need to get Mr. Lowry to work making sure that every veteran has a good paying job. I look forward to a full Senate vote on Mr. Lowry very soon.”
Tester met Mr. Lowry to review his qualifications before screening him during his Committee hearing.
Tester has voted for all 12 of President Trump’s nominees who have come before the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee. The Committee voted unanimously in support of Mr. Lowry.
