Tester Praises House Decision to Vote on Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act

Senator: We Can Accomplish Great Things When We Work Together

(U.S. Senate)-U.S. Senator Jon Tester issued the following statement after Speaker Paul Ryan announced the House will take up Tester’s bipartisan Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act (S. 2155):

“Main Streets across Montana and the United States have been waiting for the House to take action and pass this legislation. This bill will create jobs, increase access to capital, and cut government regulations that have been strangling local lenders in rural America. This is proof that we can accomplish great things when we work together and put politics aside.”

Tester authored S. 2155 with Banking Committee Chairman Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) and Senators Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.), Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), and Mark Warner (D-Va.). A summary of S. 2155 is available HERE.
