Tester Votes to Confirm Montana’s Newest U.S. Marshal

Senator: Rod Ostermiller is the Right Man for the Job

(U.S. Senate)-U.S. Senator Jon Tester issued the following statement after voting to confirm President Trump’s nominee to serve as Montana’s U.S. Marshal, Rod Ostermiller:

“Rod is the right man for the job. After meeting with Rod and discussing the pressing law enforcement issues in Montana, I am confident that he will hit the ground running. I will continue to work with Rod and ensure he and his team have the resources they need to hold criminals accountable and keep Montanans safe.”

Ostermiller is a Billings native and has served as Chief Deputy Marshall since 2004.

Ostermiller was unanimously confirmed by the Senate.
