Tester Announces Barnstormin' Farm Bill Listening Tour

Senator Jon Tester will be hosting three Barnstormin’ Farm Bill Listening Sessions on variety of topics in Whitefish, Billings, and Missoula this month.

Tester, who still farms the land his grandparents homesteaded, wants to hear from Montanans about what they want to see in the next long-term Farm Bill which Congress will begin writing early next year.

“It’s critically important that Montana has a say in the next Farm Bill,” said Tester, a member of the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee. “These listening sessions will allow me to hear from folks who are directly impacted by the legislation so I can take their thoughts with me back to Washington where we’ll draft a bill that will strengthen our state’s number one industry.”

The public is encouraged to attend these events, there will be opportunity for public comment at the end of each listening session.
