Senator Jon Tester’s statement on the Labor Department’s fiduciary rule

(U.S. SENATE)-Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after the Department of Labor released its long-awaited changes to the definition of a fiduciary.

“Look, this rule is 444 pages long and I need time to review the entire proposal before rushing to judgement. But as I’ve said before, if this looks like the last proposed rule, I’ll be voicing some serious concerns. Main Street investors must have affordable access to investment advice. Any changes made by the Administration must not box out middle-class families trying to save for retirement.”

Tester is a senior member of the Senate Banking Committee.
