Tester statement on President’s Fiscal Year 2016 Budget

(U.S. Senate) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after President Obama outlined his budget priorities for the next fiscal year:

“A budget is about priorities, and as we look to strengthen middle class families, we must make responsible investments in education and infrastructure while continuing to reduce the deficit. America can compete in the 21st Century if we build our economy from the middle out, not the top down – and not on the backs of rural Americans.”

Since 2010, Senator Tester has supported nearly $3.3 trillion in deficit reduction. Senator Tester also voted for a responsible balanced budget resolution.
