Tester kicks off statewide veterans listening tour in Anaconda this Saturday

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester, a senior member of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, will begin his statewide veterans listening tour this Saturday in Anaconda to hear what Montana veterans like and don’t like about VA healthcare and benefits.

After recent reports surfaced that the VA mismanaged waiting lists for veterans seeking care, Tester announced a series of steps he is taking to address access issues, including a statewide tour to hear what Montana veterans think of the services available to them from the VA.

Montana veterans are encouraged to join Senator Tester to share their thoughts on ways to improve the VA and build on the department’s strengths.

Tester’s Anaconda listening session will be held at the American Legion at the corner of East 3rd and Cedar Streets on Saturday, June 14 at 8:30 a.m. Tester will be joined by moderator John Pelligrini, a former American Legion National Vice Commander.
