Tester welcomes C-130s to Great Falls

Senator calls aircraft ‘perfect fit for Montana’

(GREAT FALLS, Mont.) – Senator Jon Tester today joined Governor Bullock and Montana’s Congressional delegation to welcome new aircraft and new leadership to the Montana Air National Guard.

Tester, who has worked the past six years to secure MANG’s new manned flying mission, said that the C-130 is a perfect fit for Montana.

“The C-130 can carry up to 45,000 pounds of cargo; it can be used to fight wildfires and conduct search and rescue operations,” Tester said. “It’s a big plane with a big mission – and it’s the right fit for a big state like Montana.”

Tester also thanked outgoing commander Brigadier General Bradley Livingston for his 41 years of service. General Livingston retired and will be replaced by Brigadier General Bryan Fox.
