Tester wishes Montana a Happy Birthday

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement celebrating the 124th anniversary of Montana’s admission to the United States:

“Happy birthday to the greatest state in the greatest nation on Earth. Folks like my grandparents moved to Montana looking for a better life, and they found it here. Today, folks from around the world continue to discover our stretch of land between the Rocky Mountains and the Northern Plains and call it the ‘Last Best Place,’ but only a few of us can call it ‘home.'”

Montana was granted statehood on November 8, 1889.
