Montana’s Keith Kelly appointed to key veterans’ post

Tester recommended Labor Commissioner for job

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed Keith Kelly, Commissioner of the Montana Department of Labor & Industry, to be the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans’ Employment and Training. Tester recommended Kelly for the position:

“Keith Kelly’s appointment is welcome news for Montana’s and our nation’s veterans. Keith’s experience as an infantryman and as Montana’s Labor Commissioner will serve him well in his new role. I look forward to working with Keith to increase all veterans’ access to good jobs.”

Kelly, who was awarded a Bronze Star and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge for his service with the Army’s 101st Airborne Division, was nominated to run the Labor Department’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service.
