Tester: Stone-Manning ‘one of Montana’s smartest and hardest-working public servants’

Senator’s Missoula Field Director will lead Montana Department of Environmental Quality

(BILLINGS, Mont.) – U.S. Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement in response to news that his Missoula Field Director, Tracy Stone-Manning, will become director of the Montana Department of Environmental Quality at the appointment of Governor-elect Steve Bullock:

“Tracy is one of Montana’s smartest and hardest-working public servants, and I can’t think of a more qualified person for this job. I’m incredibly proud of the decision to bring her leadership and experience to the Department of Environmental Quality. Our state – and future generations – will be better for it. I’ll miss Tracy’s guidance in my office, but I look forward to our future work together and I wish her the very best in the years ahead.”

Stone-Manning has served as Tester’s field director in Missoula since 2007, specializing in natural resource and environmental issues.
