Tester sends holiday wishes to America’s military heroes

Senator joins Red Cross in thanking service members in the U.S. and overseas

(U.S. SENATE) – With the arrival of the holiday season, Senator Jon Tester is thanking America’s military heroes for the sacrifices they make every day.

Tester today joined American Red Cross President Gail McGovern in sending holiday messages to American service members as part of the Red Cross’ annual ‘Holiday Mail for Heroes’ initiative.

The American Red Cross is collecting cards and messages until December 7 before delivering them to American military bases and veterans’ hospitals around the world.

“Our troops make incredible sacrifices for our country, and many of them have to spend the holidays away from their families and loved ones,” Tester said. “I encourage all Montanans to join me in taking a few minutes to thank them for their service, to wish them well, and to let them know they are always in our thoughts and prayers.”

Montanans interested in sending a holiday message to a service member can send their cards to: Holiday Mail for Heroes, P.O. Box 5456, Capitol Heights, MD 20791. More information can be found at www.redcross.org/holidaymail.

Tester proudly takes part in the Red Cross’ Holiday Mail for Heroes initiative every year.
