Tester, Johnson Put Montana Beef, South Dakota Pheasants on the Line for Saturday’s Football Game

(U.S. SENATE) – U.S. Senators Jon Tester (D-MT) and Tim Johnson (D-SD) have made a wager on this week’s football game between the University of South Dakota and the University of Montana. The University of South Dakota Coyotes and the University of Montana Grizzlies will square off at 2:30 p.m. MT in Missoula, Mont. on Saturday.

Johnson, a University of South Dakota graduate, is wagering South Dakota pheasants while Tester is putting Montana beef on the line.

“I am looking forward to enjoying some delicious Montana beef when my Coyotes win Saturday’s game,” said Johnson. “The University of South Dakota has a great team, and I wish them and Coach Glenn the best as they prepare to take on the Montana Grizzlies.”

“Everyone knows grizzlies are higher on the food chain than coyotes, and I look forward to seeing that translate to another victory on the football field,” Tester said. “College football is as much a tradition in Montana as hunting season, and we’re excited for a successful season.”
