Tester statement on the unprecedented effort by Billings’ Big Sky All-Stars

(BILLINGS, Mont.) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after the Big Sky All-Stars from Billings fell to the team from California in the U.S. Championship Game at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn.:

“Montanans are incredibly proud of these young champions and their unprecedented, inspiring run for the top spot.  It’s an amazing feat to be one of the last teams standing from around the globe, having won admirers from around the nation with every win.  Gene Carlson and his team have made their mark on Montana’s history books and will not be forgotten.”

Tester joined hundreds of Montana fans at Petro Theater in Billings to cheer on the little league team.  The team fell to the team from California 11-2.
