Tester names new Communications Director

(BIG SANDY, Mont.) – U.S. Senator Jon Tester today named Aaron Murphy as his new Communications Director.

Murphy served as Tester’s Press Secretary since the Senator’s election in 2006.

Murphy previously worked as Executive Producer at KTVQ-TV in Billings, Mont., and as a producer for KGW-TV in Portland, Ore.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Montana.

Murphy works out of Tester’s Billings office.

Tester’s outgoing Communications Director, Patrick Devlin, has accepted a new position working for a member of the House of Representatives.

Tester also announced the promotion of two communications staff members.  Andrea Helling, a native of Victor, Mont., will now serve as Press Secretary.  John LaBombard will serve as Deputy Press Secretary.  Both are based in Tester’s Washington, D.C., office.
