Tester statement on Boeing acquisition of Helena’s Summit Aeronautics

(BUTTE, Mont.) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement in response to the announcement that aerospace giant Boeing will acquire Helena-based Summit Aeronautics:

"Boeing is one of the biggest job-creators in the country, and on behalf of folks across Montana, I welcome them to Helena.

"I’m especially glad to hear that Summit’s top-notch employees will stay on the payroll.  Boeing knows our state is home to some of the hardest working, most skilled, innovative folks in business.

"I look forward to working with Boeing to continue expanding opportunities for high-tech jobs right here in Montana."

According to Boeing, Summit Aeronautics Group’s 135 employees will “manufacture titanium and other hard metal structures for commercial and military aircraft.”
