Tester statement on release of Baucus health care reform plan

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement in response to the release of Senator Max Baucus’ health care reform plan:

“Max has worked tirelessly on this proposal, and I am reading it closely.

“I look forward to a constructive debate in the coming weeks as we put together an overall health care reform bill to fix the broken status quo.   I’ll be going in with a focus on making quality health care more accessible for Montana and rural America.

“I’m especially pleased that Max’s plan reforms the insurance industry by allowing all Americans access to insurance plans regardless of health status or pre-existing conditions.  His plan also makes health care more affordable, it preserves patient choice, it controls costs, it emphasizes prevention, and it won’t add to the national deficit.”
