Baucus, Tester announce $4.3 million for Great Falls International Airport

Money will overhaul taxiway, bring jobs to Electric City

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester today announced that the Great Falls International Airport will receive more than $4 million to rebuild its taxiway.

Baucus and Tester said Great Falls International will use the $4.3 million grant for the initial construction phase of the project.

"This is a solid investment in Great Falls and all of Montana," Baucus said.  "Overhauling the taxiway will modernize the airport while bringing good-paying jobs and opportunity to Big Sky Country."

"Great Falls is working hard to expand the airport and bring business to the Electric City," Tester said. "Max and I are pleased to announce this money, which will help the airport continue to grow."

The $4.3 million grant will come from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
