Top telecom exec to keynote Tester’s Small Business Workshop

CenturyLink’s Chief Operating Officer to speak at Senator’s July 22 workshop

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester today announced that Karen Puckett, Chief Operating Officer for CenturyLink, will be a keynote speaker at his upcoming Small Business Opportunity Workshop in Billings on Friday, July 22.

In April 2011, CenturyLink acquired Qwest, becoming the third-largest telecommunications company in the United States.

As Chief Operating Officer for CenturyLink, Puckett is responsible for operations, customer service, sales and marketing. Puckett has worked for CenturyLink since 2000.

The workshop will also feature panels of Montana success stories and business experts. The first panel is Made in Montana Success Stories  and the second panel is Access to Capital.

The workshop is free and open to the public.  Montanans interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP at tester.senate.gov/workshop.

Tester’s Billings workshop builds on the success of his seven previous small business and jobs workshops across the state.  More than 1,500 Montana companies and individuals have attended Tester’s workshops in Great Falls, Bozeman, Kalispell, Billings and Missoula.
