Baucus, Tester announce nearly $2 million for Missoula

Grant will be used to build a deicing facility at Missoula International Airport

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester today announced that the Missoula International Airport will receive nearly $2 million to build a facility to house deicing equipment.

Baucus and Tester said Missoula International will use the $1,890,000 grant for the construction phase of its deicing facility.

"The construction of a new deicing facility in Missoula will bring good-paying jobs to the Garden City," Baucus said.  "And it will help open up the Big Sky State by making Montana more accessible to air travelers."

"This is a smart investment in Montana's basic infrastructure," Tester said.  "Well-maintained deicing equipment keeps air travel safe and reliable. It's as important as good runways and well-trained ground crews."

The $1,890,000 grant will come from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
