Tester statement on the anniversary of September 11, 2001

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States:

“On this day like all others, we honor the dedication of America’s public servants.  Folks who put their lives on the line every day, helping anyone and everyone in need.

To all troops, firefighters, emergency responders and law enforcement officers — thank you for making Montana and our nation a better place to live.  To work.  And to raise a family.

Eight years ago, we watched as thousands of innocent Americans fell at the hands of terrorists.  We'll never forget that hundreds of them died as heroes saving lives.

Sharla and I keep all those victims and their families in our thoughts and prayers.  We also pray for the safety of all emergency responders.  And like all Montanans, we're grateful for the work you do.”
