Tester welcomes new Malmstrom commander to Montana

Senator thanks outgoing commander for service

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after the U.S. Air Force announced Col. Heraldo Brual will replace Brig. Gen. (Sel) Anthony Cotton as commander of the 341st Missile Wing at Malmstrom Air Force Base.  Cotton will now serve as commander of the 45th Space Wing in Florida.

“Sharla and I join all Montanans in extending a warm welcome to Col. Brual as he takes command of the 341st Missile Wing.  Col. Brual brings a wealth of experience and leadership to Malmstrom, and I look forward to working with him as we strengthen the future of Malmstrom and all the men and women who serve our nation there.  We know it won’t take long for Col. Brual to understand why we call Montana the ‘Last Best Place.’

“We also send our deepest thanks and best wishes to Brig. Gen. Cotton and his family as they continue serving our nation in Florida.  Brig. Gen. Cotton did an incredible job overseeing and mentoring Malmstrom’s Airmen during his tenure in Great Falls, and we look forward to future successes in his career of public service.”
