Tester votes against sending American money to Greece

(U.S. SENATE) – U.S. Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after voting to prohibit an American taxpayer-funded loan to Greece through the International Monetary Fund, which is used to support foreign governments:

"Our nation will always be a powerful world leader, a good trading partner and a responsible neighbor.  But our priority must be to rebuild our own economy, create jobs, cut debt and cut spending.  We cannot afford to send hard-earned American dollars to rebuild Greece's economy."
