Tester statement on new jobs coming to Helena

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after the announcement by Xerox of plans to expand Helena-based firm Affiliated Computer Services, adding 40 new jobs by the end of March and up to 200 new jobs over the next two years:

“The folks at Xerox clearly understand that there’s no better place to do business than in Montana.  Our state is home to the hardest-working, most innovative folks in business.  These new jobs are welcome news for the Queen City and Montana.  And I look forward to continuing my work making sure Montana’s small businesses have all the tools they need to succeed.”

Brett Jakovac, Xerox Vice President of Operations for the West, said today that Montana’s reputation for hard work and a business-friendly economy convinced the company to expand operations in Montana.

Tester has held five Small Business Opportunity and job workshops across Montana over the past two years, geared toward creating jobs and boosting Montana business.  His next workshop will be held in Missoula on Wednesday, February 23.
