Tester statement on being named firearms industry’s Legislator of the Year

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester, chairman of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, today released the following statement after the National Shooting Sports Foundation named him the Legislator of the Year:

“Sportsmen and women need strong advocates for gun rights and access to our public lands to keep hunting traditions strong.  This award represents a victory for Montanans who got involved and made their voices heard.  I will continue to fight for more access to public lands and to protect our gun rights, so that our kids and grandkids can enjoy our outdoor traditions.”

The National Shooting Sports Foundation represents the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industries.

The Foundation also honored Congressman Jeff Miller (R-Fla.) for his work on sportsmen’s issues.
