Tester’s latest small business workshop now online

Senator’s latest workshop focused on women’s business opportunities and creating jobs

(U.S. SENATE) – Montanans who missed out on Senator Jon Tester’s latest Small Business Opportunity Workshop can now view video from the event online at tester.senate.gov/workshop.

Tester’s July 22 workshop in Billings focused on expanding opportunities for Montana’s entrepreneurs, with a specific emphasis on women.

Tester today posted video of the event’s lively “Montana Success Stories” panel discussion featuring four women business owners. Viewers can also watch the keynote presentation from Karen Puckett, the Chief Operating Officer of CenturyLink, and welcoming remarks by Tester’s wife, Sharla.

“All Montanans should have easy access to the expert advice offered at our workshop, and my website is a powerful resource to bring this information to anyone who wants it,” Tester said. “July’s workshop was a popular event designed to provide the answers and information needed to start or expand any business, and create more jobs.”

Tester’s event was Tester’s eighth Small Business Opportunity Workshop.

Topics included marketing and branding, social media use and access to capital.

The workshop followed similar events in Missoula, Bozeman and Kalispell over the last year.
