Tester recognizes Billings volunteer for service to community

In video tribute, Senator calls Sue Davidson ‘an inspiration to all Montanans’

(U.S. SENATE)  – Senator Jon Tester today recognized Billings resident Sue Davidson for her outstanding volunteer work with veterans’ organizations in the Billings community.

Tester recorded a tribute video recognizing Davidson’s work as the volunteer Chaplain for the Billings Chapter of Disabled American Veterans.

Davidson spent 25 years in the military and is passionate about helping Americans understand the important role women have played in national defense.

“From comforting veterans and their families to volunteering precious time to take care of their physical, mental and spiritual health, Sue’s commitment to serving her community is contagious,” said Tester, a member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee.  “Sue is tough.  She is caring.  She is dedicated.  And she is an inspiration to all Montanans.”

Tester’s video tribute is a project of the Points of Light Institute, which started after President George H.W. Bush’s call for a ‘thousand points of light’ of community service during his inaugural address. The Institute recognizes individuals and organizations who make a difference in the community.

Tester’s video tribute will be available online at pointsoflight.org.
