NonStop Local: Almost $7 million going towards high speed internet in disadvantaged Montana communities

by Posie Buffington

The State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program (SDECGP) is funding almost $7 million for high speed internet in disadvantaged communities in Montana.

SDECGP is a part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

“High speed internet can be a game-changer for folks across Montana, from making it easier to access online doctor appointments to building small businesses,” Tester said in a release from his office. “I’m proud to have secured this funding from my bipartisan infrastructure law to help Montana’s working families and small businesses compete in the 21st century, and I will continue fighting to improve internet access for all Montanans.”
