Montana wind-energy project receives key federal loan

by Q2 News

The developer of a wind farm in Broadview will receive a $2 million grant for renewable energy from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Sen. Jon Tester of Montana announced Monday.

Two Dot Win Broadview East is seeking to install a wind turbine in Broadview, about 35 miles northwest of Billings, that would generate enough electricity to power 487 homes, according to a release from Tester’s office.

The grant is from the USDA Rural Energy for America Program. The release did not mention other funding sources for the project, or when it will be built.
