Tester says things can get fixed, if the Republicans play ball

HELENA – Montana’s lone Democrat in Congress, U.S. Sen. Jon Tester, said Monday the new GOP-controlled Congress has the chance to address many problems facing the country – if Republicans are serious about advancing “responsible” proposals.

Tester, in an interview the day before the 2015 Congress convenes, said Congress should focus on items to keep the economy moving and help the middle class, such as a well-funded highway bill, a stronger U.S. Postal Service, college affordability and improving the federal health care overhaul.
