U.S. senator to host field hearing on Bakken woes

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) – U.S. Sen. Jon Tester will hold a field hearing Friday in Sidney to examine law enforcement and infrastructure needs in the booming Bakken oil patch.

The hearing at the Richland County Event Center will examine the best ways that the federal government can support local communities dealing with the pressures caused by the boom along the Montana-North Dakota border.
