Roundtable with senator discusses domestic violence prevention

Domestic violence survivor Elizabeth Scholl said her experience wasn’t out of the ordinary.

“It’s a very usual story,” Scholl said. “The story I’m going to share with you happens to victims of domestic violence in our state every single day.”

Scholl then recounted her perpetrator holding a shotgun to her head and threatening to kill her and himself.

The story was shared with Bozeman community organizers and officials during a roundtable discussion with U.S. Sen. Jon Tester at the Bozeman Public Library on Thursday morning.
