MT delegation opposed to proposed National Guard cuts

GREAT FALLS – Montana’s two U.S. Senators are backing an effort to take a closer look at military cuts proposed by President Obama.

Senators Jon Tester and John Walsh are co-sponsoring a bipartisan bill to create a commission that would examine all proposals – including proposed cuts to the National Guard…

“Montanans serve our nation at some of the highest rates in the country. With more than a decade of deployment experience, our National Guard has been instrumental in protecting our state and our nation,” Sen. Tester said.

“We need to fully consider the value of the Army Guard as we adjust to future missions and make smart fiscal decisions,” he added.
