U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) says it's time for the United States Postal Service service to look at other ways to save money.

According to Tester, the USPS plans to close 3,700 post offices and 200 processing plants.

Processing centers in Helena and Havre are among those being shut down.

On Wednesday, Tester introduced amendments to Postal Reform Bill.

One cost-cutting amendment would reduce the Postal Board of Governors from 9 members to 7; another would cap the salaries of the top 6 postal employees at $200,000 a year.
