Great Falls Tribune

Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont, announced Thursday that he will hold the first meeting of his Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus Advisory Group on Saturday in Great Falls.

The 19-member panel of Montanans will discuss ideas to strengthen Montana hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Tester, chairman of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, said he will use ideas from the group to craft legislation to strengthen gun rights, manage wolves, improve access to public land, and fight for clean water and healthy wildlife.

The meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 1 p.m. at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, 4201 Giant Springs Road.
