American Airlines to Add Three New Kalispell Routes This Week, Tester Announces

Routes will provide new summer service to & from Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago

(U.S. Senate) – U.S. Senator Jon Tester today announced that American Airlines will add three new routes to its seasonal Kalispell service. Dallas (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX) and Chicago (ORD) will all service Kalispell beginning this week.

“These new routes will help more people experience all that the Flathead has to offer, and give folks in Kalispell better options for their own travel plans,” Tester said. “It’s a win for Montana’s already thriving tourism industry and a boost to our economy.”

Tester is Montana’s only member of the Senate Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over air travel.

“The summer is the best time of year to get out and see the world, and we want to give our customers the most options with the best schedules to the places that matter most,” said Vasu Raja, Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning for American Airlines. “With new destinations across the Atlantic like Bologna or across the U.S. like Kalispell, Montana, we want everyone to make summer memories that will last a lifetime.”

Tester has worked tirelessly to bring more business to Montana’s airports as a part of his #ConnectMT initiative. Earlier this year, he secured more than $25 million in grant funding for airports in Musselshell, Madison, and Ravalli Counties. He was also the only member of Montana’s delegation to vote for the bipartisan budget agreement that provided this funding through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program.
