Tester Statement on Montana Deploying $2 Million of American Rescue Plan Funding for Immediate Infrastructure Repairs Following Catastrophic Flooding

U.S. Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement in response to the State of Montana approving $2 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to for immediate infrastructure repairs in response to catastrophic flooding across the state:

“Rain or shine, the American Rescue Plan continues to deliver for Montana,” said Tester. “I appreciate the State making use of these resources, and know these dollars will go a long way in helping communities rebuild. There’s still plenty of work to be done as we recover from these historic floods, but I’m confident that we’ll continue to come together and get the job done.”

Tester helped negotiate the American Rescue Plan Act, which provided this funding. Thanks to the ARPA, Montana’s unemployment rate is currently at the lowest rate in state history.
